CMYK COLOR SPACE
WE PRINT IN CMYK. ARTWORK SUBMITTED IN RGB WILL BE AUTOMTICLY CONVERTED TO CMYK, AND YOUR COLOR WILL CHANGE. WE WILL NOT REFUND OR REPRINT IMPROPERLY SET UP FILES.
-
MINIMUM LINE WIDTHS
The minimum recommended line width is 0.019" (1.4 pt).
Anything smaller may not stick to your garment.
-
IMAGE RESOLUTION
300dpi All day. Every day. Anything less is just uncivilized.
Resing up a 72dpi image to 300dpi is like polishing a turd. Just saying...
-
HAND FEEL
One of my favorite topics. If your artwork allows. Finding a balance between artwork and open space, and you can optimize the "soft hand feel". Halftoning will also help with this.
-
SEMI-TRANPARENT PIXELS
Semi-transparent pixels will cause a white line around your prints. This happens when images are improperly prepared. One of the fastest and easiest ways to correct this is the threshold feature in Photoshop.
-
SOFT EDGES AND HALFTONES
Colors that fade out, also called soft edges, should be half-toned to achieve the best results. Not half-toning will result in an undesirable halo effect.
-
TRANSPARENT BACKGOUND
The DTF process places white ink and an adhesive behind any artwork in your files. So make your background transparent if you dont want it to print. If you place a white background in your image, you will end up with a white square in your prints.

COLOR MATCHING
CMYK can not match every color in the rainbow. But it does match a lot of them. If you need to match a specific color, we recommend 1 of 2 things.
- Print a set of swatches. Just like the paint sample color wall at Home Depot.
- Purchase a color swatch sheet from us. We dont have all the colors on the sheet, but it should get you in the ballpark.
